Actors Gym Aust will be running Acting Workshops for Aspiring Actors who are either looking to break into Acting or continue to develop as an Actor. Actors Gym Aust is excited to announce our new Casual Acting Classes for aspiring actors and working actors who are looking to either break into acting or develop as an Actor with our casual classes based in Sydney Studio.

Acting Workshops are run by industry-working professional actors who want to coach you in these Acting Workshops.

Only one workshop per month will be held with 15 Spots available

The workshop will be held over four hours on a Saturday afternoon from 1 pm to 5 pm with lunch included.

Watch out for details of our first Acting Workshops to be announced soon for Sydney to be held in June 2022 and July 2022

Once off Stage Combat Acting Workshop

An introductory workshop to the safety, illusions and performance behind selling combat for stage, screen and motion capture.

Dramatic combat is one of the most exciting elements of performance to perform and watch. However there is also a high degree of risk associated, as we are dealing with heightened emotion and specific physical choreography. The craft is learning how to look like you want to hurt someone, while doing everything you can to keep them and yourself safe.

Taught by Fight Director Lyndall Grant, this introductory workshop will cover the basics of unarmed dramatic combat. We will be hitting, kicking and strangling our way through the afternoon, with our work culminating in a short fight scene performed for the class. You will leave with an understanding of the fundamentals behind unarmed stage combat, and what it takes to perform it safely and repeatedly. This is the perfect workshop for anyone who is dipping their toe into this kind of work for the first time, or who would like to play with fight performance… because let’s be honest, it’s a huge amount of fun.
