This course designed for beginners wanting to break into Acting and see if this is for them - learn from an industry professional Actor who each week will provide you all aspects of the art of Acting.

In our Intermediate classes, students will build on the foundations learnt in the beginners classes.

Participants will learn how to understand scripts, create meaning fulmemories to ground their performance, think about ways to convey emotion with pre-shaping and live truthfully in the moment - classes will be intensive and a perfect platform to continue developing as an Actor.

Week 1 - Confidence with text and film work.
Week 2 - Script analysis - punctuation, sentence structure etc.
Week 3 - Character analysis - Actions, Objectives etc.
Week 4 - Learning text quickly.
Week 5 - Learning to be comfortable in front of the camera using short
AB scenes.
Week 6 - Self tapes - students are given a script to analyse and self
tape in class.
Week 7 - Same as week 6.
Week 8 - Audition technique.

Over the course of 8 weeks we will be workshopping scenes tailored to your abilities with the view to discover your strengths and weaknesses and ultimately work towards a rewarding shift in your performance.

Industry standard material will be provided, covering all genres, with current and classic film and television scripts.

Final performances will be filmed for self review.

In this 8-week course, we will simply focus on self-tape technique.

The first week, we will look at script breakdown.

For the following three weeks, students will be sent short

scenes/monologues to learn outside of class, which we will then workshop

and film in class.

The following three weeks, students can choose to continue working on the scripts from the first four weeks, or bring in their own, which we will film for the students professional submissions.

The final week, we will do a commercial self-taping workshop, to give students the understanding regarding the differences between commercial auditions, and TV/film auditions.

This course is geared towards actors with intermediate/advanced skills.

Week 1: Script Analysis

Week 2-4: Self-taping skills with prescribed scenes

Week 5-7: Generating professional self-tapes.

Week 8: Commercial self-taping masterclass
